What is the reason for the sauna component Recall?

Following a joint investigation by Found—Space & Found—Space’s supplier, Found—Space has identified two concerning components within Sauna’s sold and branded as Vortex, iHealth Saunas and Found—Space.

One of the components being recalled is the carbon heaters manufactured between 2011 & 2018 and installed in saunas delivered within 2011 – 2018.

The second component being recalled is the ceramic terminal connector used in 2 Person Lite, 3 Person Lite and 4 person Premium models. This affects models installed up until 2023.

Both issues have raised concerns in high use applications. Incidents have occurred and caused damage to property.

Found—Space will be rectifying this recall by providing a no cost component replacement. The heaters will be replaced with new, updated heaters and the ceramic terminals will be removed completely.

How do you find your sauna's Serial Number?

Your sauna’s serial number will be in one or both of the two positions shown in the diagram below.

If you are unable to access your saunas serial number or are concerned you may damage your sauna whilst trying to access the serial number, please complete the online form without submitting the serial number.

What components are being replaced by Found—Space on my affected Sauna & how will the issue be resolved?

After you have completed the online form the recall team will contact you to arrange a time for a technician to replace the product recall components within your sauna at no cost to you. Found—Space’s technicians will be removing the existing carbon heaters & replacing them with newly designed carbon heaters. The carbon heaters being installed have been re-designed and the ceramic terminals will be removed entirely.

If your Sauna contains the ceramic terminal connectors, these will be removed.

How can you find out if your sauna is affected by the recall? & What do you need to do?

Found—Space have contacted customers affected by this recall directly. If you have received a notification from Found —Space, please complete the online form.

Found—Space is aware that you may have purchased or received a second-hand sauna. If you DO have one of the saunas listed above & purchased or received the sauna second hand, please complete the online form . When completing the online form you will be prompted to provide us with further information regarding who you purchased or received your sauna from so that the recall team can review the information.

If you are a Found—Space customer but haven’t received a notification from Found—Space directly, but think your sauna may be affected by the recall, please complete the online form.

What if you have sold your sauna?

We request that you complete the online form. You will be prompted to provide us with further information on who you sold or gifted your sauna to so that the recall team can contact the new owners with the information you have provided.

What INFORMATION do you need to provide to Found—Space if your sauna is affected by the recall?

You will need to provide Found—Space with your current contact information, a front-on photo of your sauna (similar to the photos shown above), your saunas Serial Number (if known) & other information you believe the recall team may need to know in order to efficiently organise the component replacements.
